Loban is made from styrax benzoin tree. An incision is made on the stem and secreting liquid is collected and dried which result in loban solid. When little amount of loban is poured on burning charcoal it results in aromatic smoke. Loban is widely used for its aromatic nature in asia for centuries. It also works as insect repellant and has many medical benefits. It is mentioned as a medicine in many ancient medical books of asia.
